Valentino Garavani’s Rock Be Camoulflage High-Top Sneaker

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the Nike Air Force 1 has solidified itself as one of the greatest sneakers all time. Well, even without its imitators, the AF1 is already considered among the greats which is why it comes as no surprise that another company this time, Valentino appears to have used it as a foundation for its newest release.  The silhouette is very similar with strap and sole details mirroring its Nike counterpart.

What sets this apart from the AF1 is the premium materials. The shoe is made in Italy with an upper comprised of a calk-skin leather and fabric insets to mimic a camo pattern. adidas Originals Heaven & Hell Pack, size? Exclusive

For the next instalment of their exclusive Select Collection, footwear retailer size? presents two new colourways of the popular adidas Originals Tubular Runner silhouette. The “Tubular Mono” runner pack is comprised of tonal red and white iterations of the shoe, which feature a mesh base and suede laser-cut detailing along the breathable upper, sitting atop of a EVA midsole. Adidas Y-3 Boost QR

Following the unveiling of the Retro Boost and Qasa High, Y-3 has unveiled the Boost QR. The collaborative venture between Yohji Yamamoto and adidas sees an adaptation of the Qasa, with a more manageable outsole and slimmer silhouette. The sneker features premium materials such as leather on the heel cage. Canvas and mesh make up the rest of the model, which is available in two colorways — black/white and black/khaki. ‘TCG’ the artist formally known as Thorocraft

Maybe you heard of Thorocraft at some point during your past #menswear 1.0 travels. They were purveyors of perfectly fine footwear, but, for the most part, their designs were always a bit too swagless for out taste. But none of that wack shit matters anymore because Thorocraft just pulled off the ill rebrand, flipping the script and reemerging as TCG (aka Thoroughly Crafted Goods), a brand with an aesthetic much more in line with today’s customer. The first installment of their new philosophy is seen with the brand’s “Olympia” pack of two athletic-leaning sneakerboots that are more sneaker than they are boot. Im looking forward to see what they have in store over the next couple of seasons.

New Balance Made in USA M996CPS

When it comes to New Balance, everyone loves a bit of “Made in…”, wether it’s our very own Flimby, allowing us to be proud of our nations flailing manufacturing industry, or the exotic Made in USA range such as this. This colourway of the 996 form the much loved 990 Series (one of NB’s best series) gives the shoe a tonal Mint Green suede and mesh upper that conjures up thoughts of Easter. Maybe that’s just me getting seasonal. Detailing is provided with 3M reflective material and matching hits of grey, while the N logo and midsole pop in white.

For some reason, I feel like this one might go a bit under the radar, mainly because New Balance seems to be living under the radar at the moment, but that just makes the brand even more cool, especially in todays era of super-hype. This premium New Balance Made in USA M996CSP is available now

Autumn Winter 2105 Y-3 Retro Boost

Y-3′s ultra popular Retro Boost gets two new colorways for the fall, with the introduction of different luxury materials incorporated in the silhouette. A black colorway gets a luxurious remake with embossed crocodile leather paneled in the heel of the upper, for an inconspicuous twist against the neoprene upper and white pebbled outsole. A blue colorway sees suede included among neoprene and a striped midsole upon a pebbled white outside. Check out the pictures above, and expect the new styles to hit stores later this year. Alife x Puma R698 Liquid Metal

Having worked on a few projects already in the past, the new ALIFE x PUMA  R698 sneaker has released at select sneaker accounts this week. The New York crew gave the sneaker silhouette a full metallic silver upper. While some parts of the sneaker feature perforated silver metallic leather uppers, others feature an ALIFE all-over embossed leather. A special ALIFE x PUMA  tag has been placed on the tongue and the Trinomic branding has been embossed on the heel of the sneakers. Furthermore both brands have logo placements on the cork insoles. adidas by Pharrell Williams Superstar Supercolor

Following a preview in last month’s issue of L’Officiel Hommes Italia, adidas Originals and Pharrell officially unveil their massive Superstar Supercolor pack. In total, the classic silhouette is redone in 50 different colorways, spanning the majority of the color spectrum. Describing the pack, Pharrell offers, “Supercolor is a celebration of equality through diversity. With 50 colors of the Superstar, everybody will be able to select his or her color. It is more diverse than any pack ever before and therefore it is more individual than any pack ever before.”
